From 1993 to 1999 the project conducted intensive scientific investigation and
analysis, engaged in public consultation and incorporated the input and
findings into the design for the oilfield and pipeline. The result was the
20-volume set of environmental assessment and environmental management
planning documents that has been posted here.
The package of environmental documentation was produced in collaboration with
the sponsoring Consortium of oil companies and the two host governments, the
Republic of Chad and the Republic of Cameroon.
